Building blocks · Customer identity

A borrowed ID document, a file in someone else’s name, a premium paid to the wrong person?

Every customer verified: the right person, the right document.

The ID document is read and checked, the person is recognised, their name is run against the asset-freeze lists, and everything matches the file: tax notice, bank details, address. KYC, operated on your behalf.

Your questions

What we are asked most.

Which ID documents do you accept?

The French national identity card, the passport, the residence permit, and the single-use proof of identity from the France Identité app.

Do you do the selfie verification yourselves?

No: face comparison and the liveness check are operated by a remote identity verification provider certified by ANSSI, built into the journey. Trustia operates the rest: the document, the lists and the consistency of the file.

Which lists do you check?

The national asset-freeze register kept by the DG Trésor (the French Treasury), which includes UN, European Union and French measures, and a specialist provider’s lists of politically exposed persons.

What happens if there is a doubt?

The file is put on hold and goes to an analyst, with the reason: unreadable document, different face, a name close to that of a person subject to a freeze. Nothing is paid before their decision.

Does the EU anti-money laundering regulation change anything?

Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 applies from 10 July 2027: the same customer identification and verification rules across the whole Union. The block’s checks are set up according to the obligations that apply to you.
